Concrete Curing

Curing is a process in which the concrete is protected from a loss of moisture. The result of this process will decrease the air voids in the concrete and increase the strength of the concrete. Curing is also a key player in mitigating cracks in the concrete which severally impacts the durability.
Concrete is a mixture of Fine aggregates and Coarse aggregates. To make this concrete strong the water cement ratio to be less. The water should be less in the concrete. The chemical reaction between the components begins when the water is added to the mix. The less amount of water also affects the strength of concrete. so, the water should be added accurately in the mix.
The water used in the curing process should be very pure. Because the impure water will affect the quality of concrete.
