Software Application in Total Station

           The Total station or electronic tacheometer is a combination of an electronic theodolite, an Electronic distance measuring device (EDM) and a microprocessor with memory unit.
          The microprocessor built into the total station is a small computer and its main function is controlling the measurement of angles and distances. The LCD screen guides the operator while taking these measurements. The built in computer can be used for the operator to carry out calibration checks on the instrument.

             The software application available on many total stations include the following:
              * Slope correction and reduced levels.
              * Horizontal circle Orientation.
              * Coordinate Measurement.
              * Traverse Measurement.
              * Resection.
              * Remote Elevation measurement.
              * Areas.
              * Setting out.
