Gabion Walls

Gabion walls are the method of making walls by filling the galvanized iron baskets with the large and small size stones. To construct the Gabion walls you does not need a large knowledge about the engineering because it can be build simply by filling the baskets. The Gabion walls are earthquake resistant. These walls can be used for interior decoration and for the compound walls of the buildings. The method to construct the gabion walls are discussed below.
First you should need to mark the place where you are going to built the wall. For the safety measures the breath of the wall should be two feet.
Then for the foundation the ground should be dig for one feet below. Then Insert the galvanized iron basket into the ground.
Now the basket/iron gauge is kept inside the pit. Now fill the basket with large and small stones.
When the basket is fill with stones the wall is ready for two feet above the ground. You can also place another basket or gauge above it and fill it with stones to increase the height of the wall.
The maximum height of the wall should be six feet.
When increasing the length of the wall the iron rods of
2" (2 inch) should be placed inside and outside the walls.
The loads should not be placed over the gabion walls.
The gabion walls can be built during your weekend times. The time required to built the wall also less.
