Careful on Roof Top Water Tank

Before setting the water tanks above the roof of the buildings we should follow some steps. Some time we made mistakes on setting up the tank this result in problem to us.
While setting the tanks above the roof we should consider the weight of the water. Each 100 liter water weight will be equal to 100 kilograms. So we should  be careful on the storage capacity of tank because the storage of tank will be equal to the load acting on the building.
So tank should be placed over a concrete slab made over a 3 feet column developed in the top of the building. While the tank also should not locate at the corners of the building because it result in the transmission of load directly to the walls.
To ensure the strength of the tank we should made it with suitable concrete or else it result in the leakage of water to the building. So, we should plaster the tank with the Anti Leak Materials. Also the floor below the tank should be plastered with the water proof cement. It prevent the leakage of water from tank to the buildings.
